Technics SLDZ Problem

i have a set of technics sldz1200 cd decks, unfortunatly one of them is broke. the deck works fine in cd mode (when the turntable is not rotating) but when playing in turntable mode it skips.

the track doesnt actually stop it just has a consistent glitch where the beat is distorted, every time the turntable goes past a point. when rotating the turntable by hand the problem seems to only occur at a certain point, which seems like there is someting wrong with the lazer or there is shit in the deck.

i cant see any dirt inbetween the turntable and the lasers/sensors, but visibility is bad so it maybe the problem. i also have heard that the dz's use a buffer software which may also be the problem

please could someone help me in identifying this problem & if anyone knows any where which sorts these kind of problems out please tell me

take em back to where you got them from mate, demand a refund or get them repaired, never heard of that before sounds well dodgy
