Default Vocal Removal

hi does anyone know a good program to removal the vocals from a track?

a friend of mine wanted to see if he could remove the vocals for backing tracks cos he is a singer, never mind

people do do it but the results are pretty poor. People tend to do DIY Acapellas where they remove the track to leave them with just the vocal but most of the time they're pretty poor aswell. Would be alot easier to just buy the backing tracks, i reccommend www.singtotheworld.com

A Vocal "remover" is based on the principal that human vocal range is rather limited and removes specific frequencies the result is a well less than perfect result. Buy Karaokee tracks if you need em

Some so called "vocal removers" just remove the center channel as this is where the vocal used to be but this is rarely the case these days, and when used the vocal still reamains, or takes away some of the drum track with it.

Basically there's no foolproof way to remove vocals it differs from track to track, so some work and some don't.
