Default My Technique

Basically Im still learning, firstly Im toning beatmatching skills but I was wondering If my technique is a good way of beatmatching to learn etc

I play 1st tune, cue up the next on the 1st beat, check out the BPM's and adjust the pitch according to BPM, then test to see if the tracks are beatmatched together in my headphones and make a few adjustments, and then play the next tune and mix in when Im ready

Thing is I dont use my speakers to beatmatch at all

I was just wondering is my technique a completely fucked up way ! ?

sounds good to me, theres no right or wrong way of doing things, theres nothing wrong with mixing in ur headphones, probably a good idea to practise like this. Will prepare you for if you play out somewhere with shit monitoring and will make it really easy to mix if the venue has good monitoring

as far as technique goes: different strokes for different folks, experiment a bit whilst your still a 'newbie' and find out what works best for you

i prefer to beat match going from slow o speeding it up 2 the right speed coz its easier to push the record forward a lil than it is to slow it dwn 2 much pressure and uve fucked it right up. ive only had my decks for 3 days now ( mixed mp3's b4 that) and ive found beatmatching well easy.
