Default Crossfader

This sure does have its uses as you can cut in and out between two tunes with it, pull of spinbacks as well as scratch amongst other things. It is also used to mix tunes together although some prefer to mix using the up-faders to get smoother mixing transitions, using the up-faders is mostly used by trance djs and alike.

Do you use the crossfader? If so, how do you put it to use?

I don't use the crossfader for fading much - once it's in the middle i tend to use the rotary eq's to bring the levels up. But i use it loads for cutting i find it easier than the up faders, guess it's personal preferance though really. We all have slightly different styles
