Default New Book, All about the Old Skool good old days.

Hi There. Thought I’d let you know about a novel out at the moment, all about the old-school, Rave & House Music Scene.

It’s Called Decade and you can check it out on: Decade

It’s really good, Man. I should know, I wrote it ;^) Don’t have to take my word for it though!

Genre Defining! THE fiction novel, detailing the House Music / Ecstasy scene. Think Human Traffic but longer, with ten times more attitude, and absolutely no scruples. A tale of the incredible highs of being there among the people and music, then the excruciating lows of dodgy dealing and drug over-abuse.

Absolutely loved it. Captured the times with great detail and insight and took me back to some of the best days of my life. For anybody else who partied with us through this era, you must get a copy of this book, because you are all in there somewhere ... Big love." Zammo, The Rhumba Club

Superb. Thoroughly enjoyed it, the character and plot development was good throughout, and it kept me turning the pages especially nearer the end. Paul Hagan, The Bang Club

Exploring a side of Scots culture that most St. Andrews undergrads will never see, Pat W Hendersen spins an allegedly fictional tale of a major drug deal gone wrong. --Don't Panic (Magazine)

From the wide-eyed rough and tumble of schoolyard adolescence to the cut and thrust of Scotland's late 80s/early 90s underground rave scene, Decade is a page-turning debut that builds to a gripping finale at the climax of its ten-year tale, with plenty of drugs, drama and skulduggery for good measure. –Knowledge (Magazine)

"A coming of age story with a sinister edge. From the off, Decade is a proper romp through the ups and downs of the rave generation and reads like the bastard child of Trainspotting and The Football Factory." Tim Lay, author of The Sewerside Chronicles

Description
The ultimate betrayal between best friends can be the most casual thing in the world! When wide boy Martin Bridges decides to take Colin Nichols under his wing, events conspire to send both him and his protégé hurtling headwards into Scotland s murky criminal underworld. But as they go deeper, could it be that the tables are being turned? Could Colin be taking the lead from his friend? Could Martin be losing his grip? And when betrayals are exposed, how far will they go to stay in control? A tale of unlikely friendship and betrayal set against the contrasting backgrounds of brutal gang violence and the peace and harmony of the early nineties rave scene. Decade is a tale of young lives being lived to the full and friendships put to the test.
