Default GOODGREEF meets FIRE IT UP @ 53 Degrees – Saturday 12th April

GG return to Preston for another huge party at 53degrees – the second of four exclusive parties to be held at the stunning venue in 2008.

This time they are facing off with one of the biggest brands in the business, the immense Fire it Up which is of course the brain child of Eddie Halliwell, one of the biggest DJ stars on earth right now. The meeting of these two clubbing institutions never fails to deliver anything other than riotous partying, and as GG returns to one of its most celebrated homes, the cavernous 53 Degrees in Preston, it’s a party sure to leave an indelible mark on clubland and leave the North West begging for more.

Eddie is quite simply a god. No other DJ has risen at a faster rate, his jaw-dropping technical skills and musical mayhem marking him out as a true standard setter. His meteoric rise is mirrored in that of GG, where he started out as a little known resident back at the turn of the century. Whether batting out searing hard trance or jackhammer techno, all mixed by his incredible turntable skills, Eddie never fails to deliver the goods. With his mouth watering debut mix compilation for Fire it Up due imminently, this gig allows Eddie to showcase his sound to one of the most up for it crowds around.

Next is Belgian lord Fred Baker, a man who simply refuses to do anything other than deliver storming sets at every party he ignites. He’s quickly gained a reputation for a sound that is wonderfully infectious, trippy breakdowns next to lush beats making for driving floor fodder that keeps the grins on the clubbers faces and the feet stomping to the beats! Something of an icon up in Preston, he continues to be one of the most consistent of trance Djs and a man taken to the hearts of the clubbers. This appearance will surely continue this rich vein of form at a place which acts like a second home to him.

Making his Northwest debut is Trance wunderkind Preach! The Canadian native, now residing in the Czech Republic has transformed the scene with his energetic and uplifting productions. His signature of hard edged grooves coupled with warm melodies has seen him grab the attention of the world, with PvD, Tiesto, Carl Cox and Marco V falling over his productions and clubbers dancing to his stunning DJ sets. He’s a star tailor made for the 53 Degrees faithful, and a sure-fire dancefloor detonator! Irish whizkid Greg Downey makes up the final element of support in the room who continues to take in some of the best clubs the world has to offer.

The House room this month is hosted in association with Skiddle, with a stunning cast of local heroes whipping the floor into a furious frenzy of jacking house beats and filth-tinged electro stompers. Local hero Paul Flintoff headlines and Paul Calvy playing back to back with Dutton, Michael Godsmark and Johnny Comelately also will be supplying the music for some all night long alternative action.
