One of the Uks finest producers has the joined Subbass DJ Academy to share his wealth of knowledge with our production course students.


German-born Producer and DJ Mike Koglin came to the UK in 1990, initially working as a sound engineer and programmer at various studios around London. But it was in '98 when Mike put his name firmly onto the map as one of the key players in dance music.when his club anthem The Silence, heralded as one of the defining tracks of the Trance genre, entered the UK Top 20. Since then Mike has released a constant string of critically acclaimed productions including several Top 40 chart entries as well as over 75 remixes to date, leading to him being nominated for a Grammy for one of his collaborations with Boy George.

Mike pollished his DJ skills off on the Subbass Advanced DJ course and has since seen comparable success behind the decks with international DJ performances in Japan, China, Russia, USA, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Taiwan on top of regular gigs in the UK and across Europe.

In 2003 Mike launched his label Noys Music, described by Mixmag as 'one of the hottest trance labels in the UK', which enjoys massive support from DJ's such as Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto and Armin Van Buuren.

Mike will be tutoring on our 3 month production course, the next will start on Feb 21st.

Subbass is very honoured to have such a high profile tutor helping our students develop their talent. Mike will join the Subbass team already including DJs and Producers Graeme Lloyd (Twisted Disco, Gallery), Dan Gerrett (Catz Music), and John Taylor (Punx Soundcheck).

Subbass has had more DJs play in top clubs including Pacha, The Cross and Turnmills and more tracks signed to labels than any other teaching facility. Already this year we have arranged gigs at Pacha,Turnmills and The Island for students.

We will also shortly be launching our label so that we are able to sign artists directly from our courses.
