Now and again it happens, a demo slips in to the inbox so good that it demands to be released; and so it was with Left Minded’s Empty Clips and There’ll Be Music.
Left Minded consists of Neil G and Luke Alan, both from the HAWT Label/Crew in Los Angeles. Neil G has already had a few successful releases including his debut solo release 'Far Back' on Motion Music and Luke signed his first release to SOWAT Music.
Empty Clips is deep dancefloor heavy house at it’s best, electronic drums and analogue bass are wrapped round a warped vocal sample that gives the track an other worldy feel.
There’ll Be Music keeps it deep, dark and simple with plenty of EXF and a hint of Basic Channel.
Flash Atkins finishes things off with his remix of Empty Clips that is a piano anthem from the 90s parachuted in to the 00s, sending ravers misty eyed for the golden age of house music.
Disco bass, swinging drums and oldskool keys…what’s not to like?
