Hi. I have bought a Numark Total Controller. I am trying to find out if anyone else has one of these and if so have you managed to get any headphones working through it? It seems that you can only listen to the sound though your headphones and cannot actually split channels in order to cue up your mix before dropping the next tune in, which surely is the whole point of this machine? I have phoned Numark and they are a waste of time, I know more than they do, their answer was 'I don't know', which is strange considering they built the machine!!! Any help gratefully received. Regards, Truth. ![]()

I have a Total Control. After having the chance to play with both the TC and Vestax midi controller at a dj show earlier in the year, my choice was pulled towards the Numark (I thank WestEndDJ for the time). To be fair I've never had any problems with Numark's customer support, all the staff I have dealt with seem to be pretty switched on. To help solve your problem, we need a couple of key answeres What software are you using the TC with? What soundcard are you using? Probably find that the problem has nothing to do with the Total Control unit.

I am using Numark Cue LE with the Total Control and I have an external soundcard by M-Audio.

You need to set the channels within Cue's preferences, 1 channel for the headphones and another channel to play out. With my experience with M-Audio external cards you will also need to go into the m-audio control panel and set various preferences. Remember, the Total Control is a midi controller, it will have nothing to do with your headphones not cueing. This is difinately something to do with your settings within the software of either your soundcard or Cue. What made you think it was Total Control causing the problem? Have you run Cue perfectly alright without the controller? Good luck

I didn't word my first question properly. It's not the Total Control that's the problem, it's Cue LE and it's settings, I still cannot get my headphones to work with it. I've had a look at my M-Audio settings as well but I can't see anything there which would cause a problem. Even without the Controller connected Cue LE doesn't run the headphones. ![]()
