| a lot down to personal preference mate really. Personally i much prefer the djm's to play on; but they suit my style. A few points for and against: most places i play out have djm's (nice to be used to what you're playing on) xone's are meant to have better sound quality (don't know if i believe that) xone's are much more prone to breakdown/malfunction xone's have 4 eq's (disadvantage imo but other people disagree) the filters on the xones are amazing the effects interface and layout of djm's are really user friendly djm's can really take some shit ![]()

| True I'll prob go for a DJM-600, but Im thinking should I try and get a 2nd hand one that has taken some battering or get a new one, but a bit longer saving would bag me a 800 mmmmmm |

| im my opinion, the xones kick ass over the 600, the 800 is prob the best mixer available at the moment Last edited by Reece Duncan; 21st December 2006 at 12:10. |

| there's nowt wrong with a djm 5oo imo. all the rest just have extra fancy gubbins that you don't actually need and get bored of hearing quite quickly i think quite often people get a mixer with loads of fx etc before they've even properly mastered mixing without them
