(+2.04m) Supermode - Tell Me Why (Axwell & Angello) This mix I dedicate to one of my best friends Z who'll soon be trekking through the beaches, forests and ancient temples in SE Asia with her trusty iPod in hand for a good few months - we'll miss you!! And to K who's bound for England indefinately, here's something to remind you of home. The first 5 tracks takes an ambient progressive tone. Was hoping to contrast spacey atmospheric sounds against the rawness of the SE Asian travel environment (anyone been to Bangkok you know what i mean! lol). You'll notice an experiment with the mid equalizer gone wrong around 24m, and the entry of track 5 a little scruffy. Next up tracks 6 and 7 which act as as a bridge, back towards more familiar mainstream housey sounds. By tracks 8 to 12 the flow moves towards electro, which is given a brief rest between 12 to 14 with a couple of well known commercial housers. Hopefully just enough to avoid the 'cheese' label. One last dive into harder electro starting at track 16, peaking over tracks 18 and 19 and easing back down into happy house again to bring the curtains down. (And no, I wont be releasing a scratch cd anytime soon! haha) Enjoy =) C |
