Default New/Noob DJ looking for advice

Hi. Basically just starting to get into DJ-ing. I am starting to use software applications to mix music currently, and am trying to create a remix as a 'starting point' to learn more.

Is there any software/applications that can pick out specific beats etc? There is a riff/beat in a song that i would like to use within the remix but there are background noises etc. Is there a way of separating different pitched/frequency sounds?

Sorry if i sound like an idiot.....but i am tbh.

Any advice would be great.

You can eliminate different frquenceys useing EQ but your never gonna get perfect results m8.......It's like baking a cake and then trying to remove the egg....

That said i think i've seen a review on a software application that does a have decent job....but alas i can't remember it's name ....sorry
