| Dear All, I wanted your views on something please? In about 6 weeks I will be doing a DJ gig with some friends at a local nightclub. We are all enroled into an evening workshop and are being supported. I know the people in question as they've thought me before and one is a former college tutor. I also get on very well with the DJ. I'm not sure where abouts I will go on. Last time, the DJ started and then he placed the experienced DJs on a strategic intervals thoughout the night. The reason he classes me as experienced is before I've DJed several times before. Last time, I did a Michael Jackson house mix however this time (for obvious reasons) I want to try a new set. I also have a lot more vinyl than before. What I was thinking of is below. Where possible, I've placed links to the songs. They are in no particular order at the moment, and are from the House/Club/Dance/Trance genres. The set is also not complete, am still looking for two more. 1. Jay Lumen - Ultra (progressive house) 2. Scooter - Posse (techno dance) YouTube - Scooter - Posse 3. John Marks - Carinival (club dance) YouTube - John Marks - Carnival 4. Filo & Peri Featuring Eric Lumiere - Anthem (Trance) YouTube - FILO & PERI ft. ERIC LUMIERE 'ANTHEM' (OFFICIAL VIDEO) What do you think of that for now? Do you think it will work in a nightclub? Your opinions and feedback are welcome. |
