Angry Hhhheeelllppp!!!!
Hi all i have been trying to record my mixers on to my pc now for months and i think im going crazy. ok so i have 2x numark decks belt drive, 1x numark m4 mixer, i have a laptop with acid pro 7, audacity and a sound recorder built in to pc, everytime i record it has a constant static buzz to it on all 3 programs and is pissing me off now. it happens when i touch the red bit of my Y cable into the red record port of my mixer, i cant hear it till i play the track back but i can see the line jump from flat to filling the whole space with static. can anyone help me get rid of this noise so i can make a proper mix?????? thanks for your time.

Well, It is simple I understand that the red cable is not properly shielded, so first check the red cable is shield, if not change the red cable to some other with quality one.
