It is now possible for a DJ to have many thousands of music tracks stored on a hard disk drive, memory stick or iPod device all of which can be easily plugged into a laptop (PC or Mac) and the tracks manipulated by the DJ and Mixing Music Software (mp3 mixing software) to achieve results that far exceed the possibilities of analogue media such as vinyl records. With the latest DJ mixing software packages such as Traktor and M-Audio plus even the free DJ software packages it is now extremely easy and straightforward to use standard audio formats such as MP3 or WAV tracks and load them into the software ready for mixing.
