well me and friend have a light rig and good custom built sound system, or are you thinking of holding it in a club??.... i can lay down some beats for the party to.

i've had discussions with Chris and Karlos about this before and theyre well up for it, was just a case of funding. It'd be an excellent way of promoting the station and we have some top DJ talent. I reckon we could easily pull it off if people worked together. I'd love to play at the night and do an electro house set. We could start with a more funky / commercial house kinda vibe (like Jonny used to play etc.) and then i could play and then progress through techno, trance and hard styles. I'm sure the DJ's on here would be willing to do the 1st one for free. Needs to be done somewhere like Birmingham, which is easily accessible and can attract a bigger audience.

now we're talking, i have a contact in the printing sector can get flyers ect done free or very cheep, for last night i put on i had 4000 flyers done for free

yeh i would be up for this people, birmingham's not to far really, keep me in the loop peeps

yeh i'd be up for helping out where possible - as for funding it should pay for itself realistically if promoted properly it's just finding some people to front any cash required. But if flyers are free dj's are playing for nowt and soundsystem is free then there aint much money you're gonna have to front. The difficult thing is finding a venue on a decent night of the week tbh (i.e. a fri or sat) but i'm sure it could be done. Obviously i'd be more than happy to play.

Excellent idea, this has been mentioned in the past here and there by myself and Karlos but nothing really came about of it. An event if planned well could do really big things for this station.

Luckily i work Train Operating Companies so travel issue's shouldn't be a problem.

looks that way, we've got a hell of a lot of DJ's and most would probz want to play. Just do shortish sets, of 1 hour and 1 and half hour etc. We could broadcast the thing LIVE on the station aswell

Right we need to sort out people for the different jobs. Ie finding a venue. anyone up for that?? Do people think Birmingham is a good place to start?? I reckon we should aim for mid next year so bout July 2007 ish because its gonna take alot of time, effort and advertising
