Default recording straight on to PC/Laptop

anyone use any decent (preferably free) music recording software, I used to have nero but lost it when my last PC died. i want to record straight from my decks (have pioneer djm600 mixer to run it thru first of course) and save as WAV or MP3 file.

cheers.

What is the version of your nero software?
The latest version of nero is good. Try the new version......

I use Magix Audio Cleaning Lab - found it in Tescos for about a fiver a few years ago. It gives you the option of changing the eq/hiss/ crackle etc of the mix once recorded and it can be kept as a single stream or broken into separate tracks. It does a great job. Latest edition can be found in the link below.
