Default recording software

Does anyone know any good free mix recording software?

just want something that will record in .WAVand burn to cd with track marks in.

Good and Free don't really go together when you want quality wav files.
A good and cheap bit of software would have to be Mixcraft 3 - Great Multi-Track Recording Software to record, remix and edit music!

It allows marker points to seperate the mix into seperate tracks for burning.

if you just after recording something then use either audacity or mp3mymp3 they both record audio simply and they are both free, google them

i recommend Sony Sound Forge 8...or if u have a creative product..like soundblaster you will find on the product's cd some tool named creative smart recorder The first is a cpu eater...but the 2nd won't use more than 10 of RAM.

adobe audition or soundbooth as the new version is called is by far the best along with sound forge , if you search limewire or katz.cd your bound to find some, legally of course :-)

soundforge is good, not sure if adobe soundbooth or adobe audition does it either (soundbooth is the cheaper 1 if buying it)

ermm in roxio easy cd and roxio toast you can record in wav and put markers for tracks in
