Default Wahey

GOOD TO SEE SO MANY DJ'S USING CDJ'S.BRING IT ON!!!!!!!
I GET A LOT OF SH~T FROM VINYL DJ'S THAT SAY THAT USING CDJ'S IS NOT PROPER MIXING BUT I BEG TO DIFFER.
I AM IN THE EARLY STAGES OF TEACHING MYSELF VINYL MIXING SO I CAN BE AN ALL ROUNDER!!!!
I THOUGHT THAT STARTING ON A SET OF BASIC CDJ'S WOULD BE THE BEST WAY TO LEARN........I WAS CORRECT.
I HAVE ONLY BEEN MIXING SINCE FEB 06 AND I CAN ALREADY RINSE OUT MY FELLOW DJ MATE BY USING MY CDJ NUMARKS AND HE HAS BEEN MIXING FOR YEARS ON 1210'S.
WE HAVE BACK TO BACK SESSIONS ONCE A WEEK WHICH HAS HELPED ME 'UP MY GAME' AND ALSO HIS. LOOK OUT IN THE FUTURE FOR SOME OF OUR MIXES. I WILL POST A PIC OF MY RIG SOON

it is loads easier to mix on cdj's than vinyl i'm afraid as i've said many times on here before once you've mastered the technique you don't even need to beatmix. I'm not giving you shit for mixing that way - each to his own and all that but imo the fact of the matter is that there is alot less skill involved.

i undertsand that mixing with cd decks is easier that is why i have started with them. i am teaching myself to mix with vinyl at the moment and i totaly agree that it is much harder, but we all have to start somewhere. soon i will have mastered both types and will be the master lmfao.
i have many more cd's than vinyl at the mo, i also think it is easier to get hold of tunes on cd by downloading. and if you do a remix you can burn it off then use it anytime in a set.
i think by incorporating both is the way forward.

Even though beatmatching may be less harder to pick up on CD Decks once you have mastered it on vinyl whats the difference anyway, and for all the added features such as hot cues, loops and other shite prob make up for beatmatching being easier

yeah i agree ben

ive moved to cd now not because i was gettin lazy, but because cdj's allow you to add so more to your performance. and buying vinyl costs shed loads more than downloading tracks.

the difference is the buzz of having to work that little bit harder in front of an audience in the knowledge that if you take your eye of the ball it could all go wrong - for me anyways

generally agree that being able to use both is the way forward, cd's are great for playing your own stuff and mates stuff, promo's etc. But if there is a vinyl version of a tune i like even if i already have it on cd i'll buy it cause it's just better
