Default what do u guys think of rotary mixers?

i was thinking about picking up the xone 92 rotary someday... worth the extra cash?? they seem like they would be sturdier and easier to manage... Anyone use rotaries???

i have the fader version, didnt really see the point in rotary for the extra money.

i suppose a rotary will last longer than a fader and there meant to be a bit better for blending.

hmmm, i heard somewhere that the faders on the xone feel like play toys... but the cost of the rotary is like 300 bucks more, kinda rediculous

dno where you heard that but it definately isn't true about the faders. The rotary versions are more expensive though

if you are mixing 2 sources only then you shouldnt bother with rotery but if you are going to be mixing 3+ sources rotery allows you fine adjustment all the way accross the mix that you just dont find in faders.

I'd personally get the Xone 3d. which is basically the 92 but with 2 midi controllers either side... which would come in handy for doing some on the fly editing with ableton (all controled from the mixer)
