Default download speed gone rather slow..can anyone help?

be appreciated, any help or advice, tips i can try?
for some reason the download speed on my pc has gone rather shite!! 27-34kbps it's shit innit, was downloading at approx 50-70kbps, not sure what's caused it, would windows defender interefere with download speeds?

windows defender shouldn't make any difference. I had that for a couple of months when Tiscali and BT were doing updates on their exchanges. Check with your provider and get them to run a speed test and stuff, see what the problem is, report back

trying running a speed test here @ http://www.adslguide.org.uk/tools/speedtest.asp and report back m8 what the download / upload speeds are

u checked pc for spyware and all that crap?

downstream 333.5 kbps
upstream 241.0p kbps

will run spyware check & report back

i think windows defender was interfering with norton internet security, got rid of windows defender & now download speed is back to normal will go on download.com & get spybot to check for any adware etc...but think pc is ok really.

yeah deffo sounds like it was interfering there. Does windows defender come bundled with a firewall? Never used it

good to hear its working again though
