Hi closing6er,
Could you post what brand/model your turntables are please, that would enable other forum members to suggest the problem.
If they are belt drives and fairly old turntables, the belts could be worn and slipping. If they are direct drive, the previous owner could have adjusted the pitch causing the turntables to be different to eachother in terms of speed, or maybe even damaged the magnets when removing/replacing the platter.
