I'm not a fan of Stanton's V3 range. I recently bought a 680E V3 and the quality was appaling. The 505 is a good all-rounder, but for scratching the 520 would be a better option. But like I said, I recommend staying away from the V3s.

Personally I would say go for Shures. The Shure M44-7 is the standard cart for scratching. It sticks to the record like sh*t on a blanket. The M44G is similar, but it tracks slightly less well and supposedly has better sound than the 44-7. In my humble opinion the 44-7 sounds better though.

Personally I use Shure M35Xs. Excellent tracking and sound, but designed for mixing rather than heavy scratching.
