Default Only My Opinion

Hey bro

Good to hear your going to get set-up. Be prepared for it to take over your life though!!!

I'm not too sure about prices in pounds due to now living on the other side of the world, but, and this is only my humble opinion, the way forward is to learn on the real-deal. From my personal experience I reckon that learning to mix using proper vinyl on proper turntables is the way forward. Once you've got that down learning to play cdj's is a piece of piss.

This probably isn't the cheapest way to go because if you do get the bug then in a year or so after buying decks you'll be wanting cdj's. But, if you buy as good a pair of turntables and mixer as you can get straight off then whilst your learning save for some mp3/wav players.

Personally I have a pair of Stanton turntables and Denon multi-media players and a Denon mixer and would definitely encourage anyone to take a similar path.

Like I say though, this is only my opinion and I'm sure that you will get some advice which is the complete opposite. The thing to remember is to buy gear you are happy with, after all, your gonna be the one that spends all their time with it.
