hard work and dedication mate.

Get a CD done and make it interesting showcasing different styles. I play House, Electro and Techno but my mix has funky, deep, bangin' and proggy House and Techno and dirty, vocal and commercial Electro.

Keep the mix flowing and always start the mix with something interesting.

Then go out to all the clubs and bars and hassle the promoters until they give you a gig. Basically be a pain in the arse until the give in! Hand out copies to all ya mates and to anyone you talk too. I have been to various after parties around the country and have found my mix in their collection!

Just bombard everyone with ya CD and keep track of who has a copy so you can pester the promoters. Its hard work and takes a while but its true what they say, you only get out what you put in! Also look at doing some of your own re-edits and bootlegs, my CDs have about 60% of my own re-edits in, makes you stand out from other people!

Hope this helps. If ya wanna listen to any of my mixes check out my latest mix of my myspace....
