Congratulations buddy !!! Depends on how much time you have to show of yourself as to what you can do obviously. When i was in the radio 1 under 18 dj comp a few years back i only had 10 mins in each heat to show off so i had to do quick mixes / mashup kinda style, i dropped big tunes and acapellas ppl wud know. You just gotta get a really good crowd reaction and if you interact with the crowd (clapping, jumping around, shouting) it really counts for alot. Obviously your technical skill has to be good but most importantly, really show that you're enjoying yourself. Best of luck matey, keep us updated on what happens, if you get chance to take some pictures video that you could post, that would be wkd.

.........UPDATE........

Paulie won the heat and is through to the semi finals!

My set should be online soon @ The 2007 D-Joust DJ Competition - Knock out rounds held fortnightly beginning Thursday 12th July @ The Whitehouse, Clapham, London.!

Its the first time i used the djm 800, i used some effects a bit harshly if i remember, also all the loops and hot cues i stored from my cdj 1000mk2 sd cards didnt work on the mk3! so i had to wing it a bit!

Still, well happy!
